In saying that, Ashish Sharma, our own head of E-commerce, recently attended Meet Magento India, the biggest Magento event ever, where he got the opportunity to listen to many industry experts, sharing their insight into Magento and it’s benefits for e-commerce development. We find it extremely imperative to share his experience with everyone. So, let’s take a look at some of the moments, he captured during the event.
What was Meet Magento India?
The Meet Magento India was the biggest Magento event ever. The entire event revolved around the new changes that merchants and e-commerce developers can expect in Magento development, ever since it got acquired by Adobe. Many speakers shared their thoughts regarding Magento and other factors, related to e-commerce development like PWA (Progressive Web App), speed optimization, graphical APIs etc. Here is a list of speakers:

All the speakers shared immense knowledge in their particular domain. While Vinai Kopp talked about Magento Caching to improve website performance, Saurabh Rajpal’s talk revolved around website speed optimization and its importance in today’s world. Ramadas Prabhakar familiarized the audience with the new changes, Magento is likely to introduce for the developer community in the future. He cleared a plethora of doubts which have been struck in minds of the majority of developers, ever since Adobe acquired Magento back in June 2018. Tomasz Karwatka and Anton Kril shared some great insight regarding Progressive Web App (PWA) development and how it is likely to become a trend in upcoming years. Tomasz further talked about the benefits of third-party modules for PWA. Arun Bansal stepped in to help the audience understand Magento deployment in a better way. He mainly spoke about why it is important to avoid traditional e-commerce deployment methods and familiarized the audience with new technologies, which are more beneficial. Sergii Ivashchenko made a strong point by speaking on GraphQL APIs and their implementation in e-commerce development to make highly scalable websites. Last but certainly not the least, Ashish Tandon talked about how PayPal is likely to support payments in Indian currency pretty soon.
